Happy New Year - New Craft Kits!

Awww....Christmas is over! The decorations are put away, the kids are heading back to school and life is finally getting back to normal. Yeah! With the new years comes new craft kits. I am posting today these new projects that I just finished up. I am photographically challenged so the pictures really do not do them justice but I absolutely LOVE them and I am sure you will to.

There is a limited number of these kits available and is based on supplies on hand. They will sold first come first serve and full payment is required before anything can be shipped. If you would like one or two or ten of these little cuties, here is how you place an order. It's EASY!

1. Email me at orders@windmilllettering.com

2. Please be sure to include in your email exactly what you want. Specify if you want a full

kit,vinyl and paper only or vinyl only.

3. Specify the number of each kit you want.

4. Include in your email the email address you would like me to send the Paypal invoice to.

5. I will then send you a summary of your order via an invoice in Paypal. Be s

ure to review the invoice for accuracy.

6. Process your payment (You do not need to have a Paypal account to pay via Paypal. Just click the link indicating you do not have an account and you will be able to pay using a credit or debit card.

7. Once you process your payment, I will be notified and I will begin processing your order. Most orders are mailed within 48 - 72 hours after payment. Orders will only be processed once the full payment is received.

8. You will receive an email with shipping information when you order has been processed and is on the way to you.

9. Simple...right?

Winter - Warmest Wishes Blocks

This is a whole new line of blocks that I will be working on in 2012. This is the first of the series and you will see additional seasons offered throughout the year. The paper on these blocks is adorable and coordinated with each other. The overall size is 21" in length and about 9" high. I made these for some of my family members and they raved! Super duper cute!

Winter Subway Art

We have done these for other seasons/holidays and decided it was time to add a winter option. Sorry but this item is limited to VINYL ONLY. You will need to cut your own board and figure out a hanger if you want this one. The vinyl fits on a board that measures 10" x 18" and can be re-sized if you would like. Just let me know what you are looking for and I can give you a price quote. Also, sorry but I do not have the metal hangers available and the supplier I ordered them from before no longer carries them. If you can find one locally you can also use a cute ribbon to hang these from. Either way, they are super fun!

Love - All You Need blocks

These blocks came out so cute! (sorry, I am using that word a lot today). They look adorable displayed on a mantle or on a table. They measure about 14" in overall length and are approximately 9" tall.

Trio Stackers

These little blocks each measure 5" x 2.5" and can be stacked or arranged anyway you like. You can separate them and display them individually or stack them together and display them as group. I love the way the soft pinks coordinate with the brown vinyl and ribbon.

Happy Love Day board

I love the way this sign came out and it opens a whole new world of possibilities. Vinyl usually only comes in solid colors but this design allows you to put your paper behind your vinyl and then reverse weed the vinyl so the cute paper shows through. Ingenious...right? I love it and this sign came out so adorable! I measures 8" square and is hung from a chain. You could hang it anyway you would like. A polka-dot ribbon would be fabulous!!

Christmas Gift Ideas

Still looking for that perfect gift for Christmas? We still have a very limited number of these frames available. They come in either square or rectangle designs and can be customized any way you want. Pictures below are our most popular designs. We can also do vinyl only if you rather use a frame of your own.

These price at $30.00 each. We will deliver for $5.00 within a 35 mile radius of Bonney Lake. Otherwise, you are welcome to pick them up for no additional cost.

These make GREAT gifts! They offer a personal touch at a reasonable price.

Since I have pretty much given up on it ever being sunny and warm here in the Pacific Northwest, I am going to put this bright set up blocks up in my home to remind of some of my favorite summer things. A Few New Things...

I have been working hard over the last few days preparing for the Enumclaw Street Fair coming up the weekend after next. Take a look a couple of new things.

Subway Art is very popular this year so I just created these two new options. These will both be available at the show as well as the vinyl only available on our Super Saturday blog. Cute? Right?

Over the years, I have also had many requests for growth charts and I came up with these adorable options. These also will be available for sale in Enumclaw. I love they way they turned out!

Enumclaw Street Fair

I wanted to let everyone know that Windmill Lettering WILL be participating in the Enumclaw Street Fair coming up the weekend of July 22nd. We are very excited to be there as it has been a little while since we had the opportunity to do a show. If you are looking for us, you will find us in booth #65 on the corner of Griffin & Cole. This is smack-dab in the middle of the show! Hooray for a GREAT location!

New Line of Vinyl

We are constantly looking for new and interesting ways to use vinyl. Recently a new type of vinyl came out that can be used for iron-on decals. You can iron the vinyl onto any kind of fabric or clothing. The decals come layered with multi colors of vinyl and any type of lettering or saying can be added. How adorable is that?! The possibilities are endless!

Below are some of the first patterns we are offering. Each of these designs are being offered for $7.50 each (iron-on vinyl is a little more expensive) and measure around 6" x 6". Not pictured but also offered with each design is any kind of personalization. That can include any name or saying that you would like. if you are not seeing something that might be looking for, just let us know. I am happy to research our database of patterns to see if we can create the perfect thing for you. Take a look and let me know what you think. The flower picture displays are decorated with the design for her recent bridal shower. She is going to use it to display pictures of all the fun they had that day. Super fun!

Spring is my absolute favorite season. I am not a big fan of the cold and wet winter months we have here in the Pacific Northwest. Spring brings the promise of sunshine, green grass, budding trees and beautiful flowers. Everything is fresh and new and clean! I LOVE it!

I decided to create some new spring crafts that will lighten up your home with the brightness of this beautiful season! The pricing and details of project is listed below. Love Blooms - Flower Photo Holder

I know I say this all the time but this is SOOOO....cute! The metal flower includes wire embellishments that will allow you to post the pictures of those that make your "Love Bloom". The base block is 6 inches high and ther overall height is over 18 inches tall.

IMPORTANT: There are only 40 of these kits available and is limited to amount of stock on hand. If there is a big demand, I can try to get more supplies but there are no guarantees that they will be available.

2011 is here and life is getting back to normal...sort of. The creative juices are flowing at Windmill Lettering and we are working on some fun new ideas to share with you. In the past we only sold our craft kits to supply Super Saturdays or craft groups. The positive response has been so overwhelming that we thought we would try releasing a "kit of the month". There will be a limited number of these kits available and they will only be available for a limited time frame. Thanks to all of you, we had one of our most successful shows ever!

We will be now taking orders online until December 12th. After that, we will be shutting down to spend the holidays with our families.

Thanks to the huge success of the show, we are now SOLD OUT of our custom frames. We sold every single one including our samples.

We still have our custom family name signs available. They come in black, red, or brown.

They are $25 and make excellent Christmas gifts. We have had them personalized so many different ways. The picture above shows a last name and all the family members names through the middle. We can also do "Established" and the year someone was married, or bought a house. We can also do a favorite saying. Our most common ones are "All Because Two People Fell In Love" or "Bless This Home With Love and Laughter".

Today starts our last show of the year. We are in the Showplex at the Victorian Country Christmas. It is Wed-Sunday at the Puyallup Fairgrounds. It is a fun show for the whole family. We are in row G right now to the Pillow Pets.

If you are wondering where you might be able to catch up with Windmill Lettering next, then look for us this coming weekend at the Meeker Middle School Holiday Bazaar. This is our third year doing this event and each year we are amazed at the turnout at this small neighborhood event that has been going on and growing for years. The school is located at:

It is actually located in NE Tacoma near Federal Way.

The bazaar is on Saturday November 20th from 10:00am - 4:00pm.

We have lots of fun new projects to share with you. Many are new that you have never seen before. I don't want to ruin the surprise but they are ADORABLE!!

Because the bazaar is only for a few hours, we will not be doing the custom frames and name boards on the spot. We will however be taking pre-orders for them that we you can pick up at the show, or we will also be taking orders that day that will be ready to picked up the following Saturday. So...order away...!!!

Tacoma Dome - Here we come!

Today starts our busiest show of the year. We are going to be in 3 shows this Holiday season, but this is the biggest. We have been eating and breathing vinyl getting ready for this show, but we are ready and really excited.

If you are in the area we would love to have you stop by and see us and see our fun new items we are debuting at this show.

Ordering Deadline Update!!!

Holy Moly! Have we been busy! Thank you all for the overwhelming response to our Super Saturday projects. We have barely had a chance to come up for air the past few weeks. As you know, in addition to doing Super Saturday crafts, we are also preparing for several fall and holiday craft shows.

IMPORTANT!!!

We will not be fulfilling any orders between the dates of October 15th and October 24th. IF YOU ARE ORDERING KITS AND NEED TO HAVE THEM WITHIN THIS DATE RANGE, YOU MUST ORDER ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 14th. If you are ordering kits that do not need to arrive until after October 24th, then you might want to place your order as soon as possible as we will not be working on Super Saturday kits during this time frame.

As always, we ask for a minimum of two weeks notice when placing orders. This is especially important as we approach a very busy month with these critical black-out dates. We just want to make sure everyone is well aware of these restrictions.

Double-sided FUN!

My life is crazy right now! Like I said before, I am actually dreaming vinyl. The other night I was thinking of something like these double sided holiday boards pictured below. You can use them for both Christmas and Halloween by just turning them around. CUTE! Huh? The possibilities with this are endless. I have all kinds of other holiday words running through my brain. We will have these available at our Tacoma Dome Holiday Gift Show coming up in October and they will be $30 each.

I also made these little cuties. I wish I could say I came up with this idea but regretfully I didn't. I saw it somewhere else and just put my own little spin on it. These will be $7.50 each.

Look for both of these available next year as Super Saturday kits.

It seems that there has been a lot of confusion around our previous post about taking a break. We are just taking a break from single orders for individuals that are not ordering them for Super Saturday activities. We are doing that so that we can focus on fulfilling Super Saturday orders.

If you have a full Super Saturday order, just email us at orders@windmilllettering.com.
We usually repond to you within 24 hours with a Paypal invoice. Once we receive your payment, we get started on your order right away. Be sure to include the date of your activity in your email so that we are sure to get things to you in time.

We will resume taking single orders October 25th after the Tacoma Dome Holiday Gift Show that we are participating in. You will plenty of time to make your craft before Christimas.

It has been another whirlwind week at Windmill Lettering. Thank you everyone to your overwhelming response to our craft kits. It gives a tremendous amount of satisfaction and joy to know that so many others are enjoying what we do. Thank you also for your patience as we work day and night to keep up with the demand. We will get you just as soon as we possibly can.

As I have mentioned before, in addition to fulfilling new orders, we are trying to prepare for our fall shows. This week I made the following new items. I think they all came out pretty dang cute!

Just a reminder that we will be at Tacoma Dome Holiday gift show October 20 - 25 in booths 517 and 519. Look for these and many more new items there!

Halloween quote blocks - We had a customer custom order this saying from us and I thought it was so cute that I decided to make some blocks of our own. ADORABLE! and super fun to get the kids excited for Halloween!

Believe signs - This is another one of my favorites. We have done these on tiles before but I thought it would be fun to shrink them down a bit and put them on a decoupaged board. I think they came out pretty cute.

Single Holiday blocks - These are the perfect little touch for a desk or a entry hall table to welcome the season. I have made them for Christmas and Halloween as shown but have plans to do them for Fall and Winter as well.

Knob blocks - I changed out all of my knobs in my kitchen a little while ago and had all these extra knobs laying around. The problem was, they were brass. I fixed that quickly with a can of brushed nickel spray paint and voila....I made these cute blocks with a variety of different sayings. The organza ribbon gives it just the decorative touch it needs. Fun...huh? And a great way to recycle.

Countin' Down...A Different Way

The Countdown Blocks we have done for Super Saturday's have been so popular, I thought I would come up with a different version. I just finished making a bunch of these for our craft shows coming up in October (excuse the poor picture, it was taken with a cell phone. I will take a better one soon). The numbers are attached to a piece of metal covered in cute seasonal scrapbook paper. To make them extra cute and to give them a finished look, the metal is surrounded in red rick-rack. The snowflake is a magnet that you move down everyday (starting on December 1st) to count down to the big day. Oh...and don't you love the new scroll hanger? I am not sure I want to add a piece of ribbon yet. I sort of like the simple look. Anyway, we have a bunch of those metal scroll hangers on hand so look for some fun new projects using those.

And...I have also now finished the Christmas yardstakes and love love love the way they came out. The jingle bells make them really fun. I still have to finish the Winter ones but look for those soon.

I absolutely LOVE crafting! My head is spinning with ideas...stay tuned for more coming soon! Happy Crafting!

Wood - REMIX!

Last year we purchased about 200 or so boards in the hopes of making frames to sell at our shows. After a day of cutting angles, gluing corners and generally scratching our heads we finally decided to give up. The lesson we learned was that frames are not so easy to make and that we should leave it to the experts! The end result was that we ended up with a ton of leftover boards with nothing to do with them. Big waste of money...right? They ended up sitting in a corner of my garage for the next year.

The other night I started thinking I could make something with those old boards. Seasonal yard stakes came to mind and I commenced designing them. The result is below. I am done with the Halloween and Fall options. I am still working on the Christmas and Winter ones. What do you think? I think they came out pretty cute. I am still trying to figure out some cute saying to put on the top part of the Halloween one. I am thinking something like "Welcome Spooks!" or "All Spooks Welcome" or something like that. I would love your ideas! Look for these on sale at our next show which is the Tacoma Dome Holiday Gift Show beginning on October 20th. They will be $20 each. I am getting super excited for our fall shows and are beginning now to prepare some fun new crafts for you! Windmill Lettering will be at both the Tacoma Dome Holiday Gift Show and Victorian Country Christmas. We will post more information about that soon!

I have so many ideas swirling around my head. The other night I was even dreaming vinyl and had to get up in the middle of the night and jot down some idea. You are in for a treat because I have some really fun new ideas. I wanted to give you a sneak peak at these large picture display boards I have been working on.

They came out super cute and I am sure they will be a hit. They measure about 32" long by 7" wide. We have several different designs mostly having to do with grandparents and family. Each one comes with 4 scrapbook paper covered metal magnets that we will customize with a name for you on the spot. The full board will cost $32.50.

If you need additional magnets, they will be $2.00 each. These will make a GREAT Christmas present for grandparents or family members Take a look and let me know how you like them. We are happy to take pre-orders but the order will not be ready until late October.

At Windmill Lettering we have begun gearing up for the 2010 Super Saturday season. We loved working with so many dedicated and energetic people (sisters) around the world last year. We are very excited to once again offer our craft kits to make your Super Saturday/Craft Group stress-free and successful. In addition to offering some of our all time favorites, we have been working on some fun new products. They are all adorable and are sure to be a hit!

Last year the response to our products were overwhelming. Being a small business and having a limited number of resources, we learned some valuable lessons. This year we decided to put some guidelines in place. This will help us manage our work flow a little bit better and will help you to have a positive experience when placing an order with us.

We are happy to answer any questions you might have. To place an order or to ask questions, you can contact us anytime at mailto:orders@windmillletting.com. We try to respond to all emails within 24 hours.

Our discounted pricing is based on bulk products. Under each item we offer you will see a price for 1-9 kits and a discounted price for 10 or more kits. Please understand that we can only offer the discounted price when a minimum of 10 total kits are ordered (the 10 kit minimum can include multiple projects as long as the total kits ordered exceeds 10). If you are ordering a single sample kit for your sign-up table, we are happy to offer those at the discounted price provided you plan on placing your full order with us when your sign-ups are complete. Please provide us with an event date upon placing your order.

We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice in order to process your order. Order received with less than 2 weeks notice will only be accepted based on availability and will be charged a rush fee equal to 10% of the full order price. Orders placed less than 7 days prior to the event will be charged a rush fee equal to 20% of the full order price.

Full payment is required at the time of order and must be received prior to anything being shipped. Our preferred method of payment would be via Paypal. It is very quick and efficient and allows us to process your order right away. Just send us an email with what you are wanting to order (orders@windmilllettering.com) and we will send you a Paypal invoice. If you do not have a Paypal account, let us know and we can make other arrangement but know that your order will not be processed until full payment is received.

Each product listed below contains a list of items that are included in the full kit. Miscellaneous items such as glue, paint, sandpaper, brushes etc. will need to be provided by you. A complete list of those items will be included in each kit.

We only use top quality wood products but being wood products, they occasionally do include natural imperfections. We are happy to replace broken pieces but natural imperfections are to be expected and add to the personality of the project. Additionally, we do lightly sand all of our wood. Additional sanding may be and probably will be needed by your event attendees. That is all part of the project though and is part of the fun!

We have worked very hard to develop these fun projects for you. Please understand that we are more than happy to share dimensions, product sources, font choices and anything else you want with your paid order. We are pretty easy to work with and are happy to help anyone out. We are a business however and we do not feel comfortable or obligated to give our information away. Please be understanding of this prior to asking.

We custom quote shipping and handling with every order and we always seek out the most economical way to ship your order whether that be USPS, FedEx and UPS. We never charge more for shipping than what our actual costs are. If you are wanting to get a general idea of what shipping might cost prior to ordering, we have included a "per kit" weight with each item. By multiplying that weight by the number of items orders, you can get an approximate total weight. Shipping costs can be found by going to the UPS website and entering our shipping zip code (98391 Bonney Lake WA) and the zip code of where the package is being shipped to. Boxes heavier than 50lbs will be broken into multiple packages. It is important to note that kits including wood are very heavy. In order to save money on shipping, you may want to consider having your wood cut locally and ordering vinyl only kits. Again, we are happy to provide wood dimensions and suggestions with your paid order.

Our pricing is very competative. Please note that we are happy to consider a price match and in most cases can probably beat a vinyl price quote you may have found somewhere else. Meeker Days is coming!

It is show time season again for Windmill Lettering.

From the outside, it may seem that not much has been going on, but it couldn't be further from the truth. We have very exciting things in store.

In the next week, watch for our Super Saturday projects to be posted. We are working on some of the favorites from last year, and some new ideas or everyone. We know you will like them and look forward to working with all of you again.

We will also have an official working website for ordering. We are really close to launching that, and keep an eye out here for a grand opening coupon to use. It will be available here and for our fans on Facebook.

Also on the very close horizon is Meeker Days in Puyallup.

Last year was our first time at Meeker Days and had a lot of fun. We are excited to be returning.

Our next big show is just around the corner. Coming up in April look for Windmill Lettering at the Puyallup Spring Fair The dates are April 15 - April 18 at the Puyallup fair grounds in...where else but... Puyallup. There are all kinds of fun activities and shows for the whole family You will find us in the Showplex in booth number 7732. We have lots of fun products and ideas to share with you. Wow! What a fun show. We really enjoyed participating in the Northwest Women's Show this past weekend. The crowds were huge! The venue was beautiful! Our location was great! And we got to meet a lot of fun people who we were able to share our product and talents with. Thank you all for stopping by our booth! We will most certainly be back! We made it through the holidays! HOORAY! We are so thankful for loyal family and customers who were patient with us as we tried to manage the amount of orders and questions we received. It was truly overwhelming and we are so grateful that so many others found so much joy in our creations. We learned many valuable lessons and we look forward to 2010 with much anticipation and excitement!

We are busily preparing for our first show of the year which will be the NW Women's Show held March 5 - March 7 at the Qwest Field Events Center. This is a great show that offers lots of valuable and informative information for women combined with some great SHOPPING!! Come see us at booth #1395. We will have some beautiful new creations along with some of our most popular previous projects.

Victorian Country Christmas

After a great show at Meeker Middle School a couple weeks ago, we are now ready to see everyone at the Victorian Country Christmas at the Puyallup Fairgrounds.

Here is a first picture of the booth during setup. There will still be more fixing it up, but look how cute it will be.

Show Time Once Again

Once again, thanks to everyone for all their support. Today now leads into our week before a show.

We will not be able to take any new orders until after our two shows. We have the Meeker Middle School Bazaar mentioned in the post below on November 21st, then Thanksgiving, and the week after that will be in the Victorian Country Christmas at the Puyallup Fairgrounds.

We want to be able to prepare ourselves for these shows, so will need to stop taking orders until afterwards.

If we have already taken your order, we will still be getting it to you before the shows.

We will be ready for business again December 9th - December 18th. After that, we will be taking the holidays off to spend with our families.

What's Next?....

If you have been following our blog you know how busy we have been between Super Saturday's and shows. The Super Saturday orders are slowing down a bit now and it has given us a chance to reflect on what we want to do next. We have all kinds of new ideas swirling around in our heads and are just trying to find some time to actually create and perfect them for you!

Our next show will on November 21 at Meeker Middle School in NE Tacoma. Here is a map to location just in case you are not sure where it is.

It is a one day small show that we only did once last year but it is a show that has been going on for years and always has a nice turnout. We are really excited to do this show because we will have a double booth. Not only will we be doing the custom personalized items that we did at our show at the Tacoma Dome, but we will also have an area to display and sell our completed items. As I mentioned before, we have all kinds of new ideas and will premier many of those ideas for you at that show. If you like what we make, then you will not want to miss this show!! For those of you interested in our very popular Countdown Blocks, we will have them there finished and available for sale. You might want to get there early though because we will only have a limited number of them and they are sure to sell out! The cost will be $17.50 per set.

Our hottest seller at the Tacoma Dome show were our custom frames. These were super popular and make a great Christmas gift for both family and friends. In addition to the frames shown below, we will also have frames that are longer that measure 12" x 21". They can be customized any way you would like. It might be a good idea for you to pre-order you items. This is a one-day show with short hours that promise to be very busy so pre-ordering will allow us to have your item(s) made for you ahead of time and all you will need to do is stop by and pick them up! Any of the following items are available for pre-order. To order, just send us an email to orders@windmilllettering.com and we would be happy to put something together for you.

Custom Frames - $30 each including all customization. Frames available in two sizes. 14" x 19" (shown below) or 12" x 21". Multiple designs available or we would be happy to custom design it especially for you. Local pickup available. Shipping and handling is $15 each.

Our next show after Meeker Middle School will be Victorian Country Christmas held a the Puyallup Fair Grounds Dec. 2 - Dec. 6. We decided to do this show because so many people came up to us at the Tacoma Dome show and said that they were hoping to see us there. You will find us located int he Showplex in Booth #619. We are very excited to be doing this show but not sure about what to think about the required Victorian era attire (Yikes!). We are happy to take your pre-order for this show as well.

Back From the Tacoma Dome Show

Hello Everyone -

We are almost ready to be back......................

We just spent a wonderful, but exhausting 5 days at the Tacoma Dome Holiday Gift Show. We need to offer a huge THANK YOU to our family for all they did so we could participate in that show.

We introduced some new products that were a hit.

One of our new products was the frame shown hanging below. Those actually sold out. We had out cutter actually in our booth and was able to customize our frames, family name boards, and tiles for people while they shopped. Most of the time in about 45 minutes.

Also - thanks to all the suggestions from people - we are now looking into participating in the Victorian Country Christmas in Puyallup from December 2- December 5th.

We are also participating in the Christmas Bazaar on November 21st at Meeker Middle School.

At both of these locations we plan on having our cutter and offering people personalized gifts.

We will still be getting back into life this next week and should be open for business next week. We will be making some changes on both this site and our etsy site.

So keep your eyes open for more to come!!

Super Saturday - on hold - KIND OF....

We want to tell everyone thank you for all the wonderful compliments on our Super Saturday kits. We have had an overwhelming success with them, and that is thanks to all of you.

Because we want to be sure to provide those that have ordered with the quick service we pride ourselves on, we have to now slow it down a little bit while we are fulfilling these incoming orders.

Starting today - September 30th, we will be only be able to take orders for vinyl only for our Super Saturday kits. We will still be able to also do vinyl/paper only for the kits that this applies to.

This only applies to new orders, and not to orders if you have previously contacted us and ordered samples for your ward. If you have, we have you on our list, and are waiting for your final orders.

Between the Super Saturday kits, and the Tacoma Dome Holiday Gift show, we will be just too busy to keep up with the full kits with wood requests until after November 1st.

At that time, we will be reopen for new orders for full kits.

We have had a overwhelming response to our Super Saturday kits. Thank you all so much for you support! We have loved helping all of you out and we can not wait to hear the feedback you get from the sisters in your ward. Please be sure to let us know how it goes and if you can, share some photos of your event.

We have had many questions about where you might find us this fall. We anticipate participating in several show and are still working out all the details but we are very excited to announce that we for sure will be participating in the Tacoma Dome Holiday Food and Gift Festival this year. We are feeling a little overwhelmed by the prospect of participating in such a large show but we are very excited to share our products with so many people at one time and look forward to seeing the response.

We have decided that rather than having our normal show setup, we would concentrate on custom only orders. We will only be offering our Family Name Boards, Custom Name Tiles and Custom Family Name Frames (NEW!). The best part is we will be making them on the spot and will be ready to take home from the show that day. We will post pictures and pricing of each product soon on this blog so stay-tuned for all the details.

You are more than welcome to pre-order before the show and we will have your custom product ready and available for pick-up when you arrive. Tell all your friends and be sure to come by and see us. It is that time of year again when enrichment leaders everywhere are frantically googling "SuperSaturday ideas" and stressing out about what projects their wards are going to do this year.

Well...don't stress it...let us help you!

All of us here at Windmill Lettering have served on enrichment committees at one time or the other and we know what it takes to pull off a successful Super Saturday. Let us do the hard work for you! Make it easy on yourself by having us put together your project kits. We offer all of our projects either as full kits or as vinyl only.

Over the past couple of weeks we have received many emails asking for ideas or price quotes. Even though we may have posted some of these items in the past, we thought it would helpful to everyone if we included all of our ideas into one blog post.

Below are pictures and pricing for some of our most popular projects. Please note that the kits include the main items needed to complete a project. They do not include things like glue, paint, brushes, sandpaper and such. We will list what each kit includes and you will need to provide the supplemental items.

It is a very busy time of year for us so we ask that you give us your full order at least 2 weeks prior to your Super Saturday event. That will give us enough time to pull the supplies together and ensure delivery to you. If we have less time than that, we will need to charge an additional rush surcharge and availability will be based upon the project load we have at that time. Also please note that the prices quoted do not include shipping. If you live in the Puget Sound area, you are more than welcome to pick up your order. Otherwise, we would charge you the actual shipping cost.So with that...here are some ideas for you. If you have an idea of your own that you would like price quote for, feel free to email us at orders@windmilllettering.com. We try to respond to all inquiries within 24 hours.

Also, please note that our prices DO NOT include shipping. Shipping is calculated separately and is based on the weight of your full order. For large orders, we ship via UPS from zip code 98391 in Bonney Lake WA. We have added the approximate weight of each kit to the prices below. To calculate your shipping, just multiply the weight per kit by the number of kits you are ordering to get your total weight. Then go to the UPS website, enter your home zip code and it will give you your approximate shipping cost. If would rather order vinyl only or even vinyl and supplies only, and then cut your own wood, we are happy to share the dimensions with you with your paid order. It is much less expensive to ship that way too.

We did these a couple of years ago at our ward Super Saturday and they always prove to be a big hit. The sisters in our ward used their own creative paint color combinations and I was surprised at how cute they all came out. Boards measure 10", 8" and 6". We do these metal picture holders in a large variety of patterns and we have many more choices than what is pictured below. The kit includes supplies to make two marble magnets but you would need to provide your own scrapbook paper.

Live - Love - Laugh Hanging Tiles

We did these tiles at our Christmas shows last year and they proved to be very popular so we thought we would offer them as a Super Saturday kit. Each tile measures 4" x 4" and the entire hanging measures approximately 16".

We have received many request at recent shows to create a small front porch sign to remind visitors that no soliciting is allowed or to remove their shoes. We came up with the cute signs that are super easy to make but get the message across in a nice way. The kits include the scrapbook paper but if you would like to use some of your own, then subtract .50 from the total cost.

We searched everywhere for cute block sets for the various seasons but could not find anything we liked so we decided to create this set of our own and we LOVE the way they turned out. These chunky blocks look adorable in any home and measure approximately 24" in overall length. Kits do not include the ribbon or the embellishments that go along with them but you might enjoy finding those on your own. The kits simply include the blocks and the vinyl and you can use your creative imagination to find the embellishments that you like best.

Shelf Sitter Blocks

We have done these blocks in many many different varieties in the past and below are just a few of the sayings we have done. We do these in either 5.5" x 7.5" or 5.5" x 5.5" and the pricing is the same. We love the way they look with a ribbon wrapped around them or if you would rather, you can also sand the edges for a more rustic look. Either way they ALWAYS come out cute and are a great craft to do for Super Saturday. Our ward this year is doing 12 different varieties which I will be sure to post once I have them completed.

Countdown Blocks

These are new craft for us this year that we just finished and again we LOVE LOVE LOVE the way they turned out. This year our ward is doing them in 3 different varieties. We are doing a Christmas Countdown, a Halloween Countdown, or Birthday Countdown. All have two blocks that measure 3.5" x 3.5" and sit on a 8" x 5" board. They are super fun and cute and your little ones will love counting down to the big day. The kit price includes scrapbook paper but if you rather use you own, them just subtract $1.00 from the price.

Small Expression Blocks

These are a fun set of 18 blocks. They have vinyl letters on 4 sides of the blocks. You can mix them all around and spell hundreds of words. These are fun to keep up all year round and one week they can say Merry Christmas and the next week they can say Happy New Year.
We did these at our last Super Saturday and they were a hit. When we had them on the display table we found that a large majority of people could spell their own last names with them. Almost every time I walked by the table someone had changed the saying on them. For our Super Saturday, we used 1 inch blocks which turned out very cute. They will of course come with a list of words that can be spelled with them.

We will offer the vinyl only for the 1 inch blocks for $9 for sets of 10 or more.

These are brand new this year and are a fun project. Countdown the days to the holiday. Your kids will LOVE it.

These are fairly new and we love love love the way these turned out. The overall length of this project is 15" and includes the 6 blocks that spell "FAMILY" as well as the quote block below. The kit price below includes the 3 different scrapbook papers and may vary by what is shown depending on availability at the time of order. Family Name Boards

We sell these completed as part of our business and they are probably our most popular item and are sure to be a hit at your Super Saturday. The signs measure 6" x 24" and include double vinyl. We have done these in a variety of combinations including those shown below with the large family last name with a smaller overlay of the family first names. We have also done this with an overlay of a family type saying, or with the "established" and the wedding year. Really the options are endless and we would be happy to design anything you have in mind. This pricing would apply for any board this size with double vinyl.

These chunky candlesticks measure 10", 8", and 6" high. We do them in the two designs shown as well as an additional one that says "Home, Family, Blessings". Pictures do not do these justice. They are super cute and are very easy to make.

Family Name and Initial Tile

You can do this design on either 6 x 6 or 12 x 12 tiles. Both are beautiful and VERY popular! These make a beautiful and inexpensive gift for any occasion. For these we provide the vinyl only. You would need to purchase your own tiles. Price varies depending on the size and quality of the tile you purchase.

12 x 12 Tiles

These are probably one of the easiest to do and most popular Super Saturday projects we have done in the past. The ideas are endless! Most wards order the vinyl only from us and purchase the tiles of their choice on their own. These are many choices out there and most 12 x 12 tiles cost anywhere between $1 and $5 each depending on the quality of the tile you purchase. Here are some of our most popular designs but again, if you have an idea or a quote of your own, we would be happy to design it for you!

Family Blocks Re-Invented

In our last show we had a bunch of Family Blocks left over from our Christmas show. They were cute but I was not really very happy with the quality of them. I wanted to re-do them for our next shows. Today I finished up making 20 sets of these and I love the way they turned out. They are much larger than before and have a very chunky feeling. Let me know what you think. These will sell for $16.50 a set. They will be on our Etsy site soon.

We are working hard preparing for our next shows. We have the weekend of the 12th at Maple Valley Days and then the weekend of the 19th at Meeker Days in Puyallup. I love love love doing craft shows but always get sort of tired of making the same old thing. I am always on the look out for some new ideas. My favorite thing to do is to take an idea and "kick it up a knotch".

Thank you everyone who stopped by our booth last weekend at the Apple Blossom Fesitval in Wenatchee. We had such a good time sharing our creations. The response was overwhelming positive and we look forward to coming back for many years to come.

So what's next for us? We will be participating in the Maple Valley Days festival coming up June 12th - 14th. All of our creative juices are kicked into high gear as we come up with some new and unique creations. Be sure to stop by and see us! We are really looking forward to it.

We've Been Bitten!

Twilight is all the rage right now and it has hit the vinyl business. Valerie (aka our President of Marketing and Customer Relations) and her family traveled to Forks a couple of weeks ago. While there she was doing some shopping and came across a store there called "Dazzled" that sells all kinds of Twilight memorabilia. Being the social butterfly she is and not being one to pass up an opportunity, she struck up a conversation with the owner and the next thing you know we are designing everything Twilight. I personally do not know a whole lot about it but I am following Valerie's directions and creating new projects ideas that she can market to the store. The owner there is very interested in our products and we hope to have a big order soon. Here is a little of what we created. If you have any other ideas, feel free to share!

These are trio-stacker blocks. So far we have about 8 different designs. Here are the first couple we have made:

These are similar to the "Welcome" blocks listed in a previous post but they spell all thing Twilight. There are 9 blocks in each set and they spell 11 words that we know of. There may be others that we have not thought of. :)

New Vinyl Idea

Valerie recently came up with the following design for a customer on our Etsy site. I thought it was such a cute idea that I wanted to post it here. It was a lot of work to make and took many emails of design work going back and forth but the end result was darling and the customer was thrilled.

This particular design was for twin boys and is going to be hung over each of their beds. We would be happy to personalize this any other way. The total cost is $25 and comes with up to 5 fonts, up to 25 words and you can chose any two colors of vinyl. Since each design is unique, the price includes up to 3 mock-ups. If additional design work is needed we charge an $20 per hour of work. Shipping would be $5 and can be combined for multiple orders.

Wouldn't this be cute in teenage girls room? Or how about if it said "Our Grandchildren" in the center and the names of the all the grandchildren around it. The possibilities are endless.
